The renovation of this terraced house in the Balmoral area, largely focused on the reorganisation of the ground floor to release sufficient space to construct an age friendly guest room. The guest room together with an enlarged kitchen, open on to the air well which has been partially covered to provide a dry, bright and airy community space. The kitchen extends across the width of the house and with its large island, becomes the hub that binds the community together. Careful lighting, material selection, floor patterns and attention to detail complete the transformation of the property.
