The studio of Merrowsmith Design Partnership is located in the heart of Singapore, in the historic district of Emerald Hill. Approach from Somerset MRT where the walk to the studio is mostly sheltered by the 5′ way. We are a collaboration, coming together to deliver excellent projects.

Sorry, no we don’t undertake residential projects.

We are a specialist consultancy who excel in the design of commercial interiors including buildings, offices and healthcare facilities. Our clients specifically seek an interior design firm with expertise and experience in these areas. Here are 3 reasons why you might want to hire us;

We are an international team based in Singapore. Our vision is, ‘A world where our brand inspires healthcare and workplace transformation’. We see no limit in our potential to serve clients in other markets. 

For interior design projects no, ordinarily we do not include engineering or architectural design services. Under some circumstances, it can be beneficial to incorporate other services under our scope. We can propose the services required and annex them to our scope of work.

Yes, we can provide cost estimates for local work. For regional and international projects, we reach out to local service providers to gather local costs and benchmark these against relevant data we have on actual projects or works in progress.

In short, if there is a good working relationship and the contractor can comply with our health and safety requirements, yes.

From time to time we act as the agent on your behalf. But generally, no; there is no obligation for you to follow recommendations we make or buy from vendors we recommend.

We serve clients in the health and wellness sector, where our design of clinics, surgery centres, offices, laboratories and hospitals advance the quality of care.

No, but we are a young company so we believe there is plenty of awards waiting for us.

We seek to deliver results that are measurable in terms of brand enhancement, business creation, stakeholder performance, staff productivity and  clinical outcomes. In other words,  our value is in the outcome we generate by design rather that the appearance of the space. We aim to create performance enhancing interiors, environments to empower teams by means of positive experiences. Our charges are time based, but because of our experience and the way we structure our business, our fees remain competitive.

Our process is proprietary and involves workshops and sprints, the sorts of activities you are more likely to find in design thinking environments. We are continually evolving our products and methodologies.

Each project varies, but often a good place to start is with an understanding of where you are now, how you got there, and of course, where you want to go. Every project comes with milestones, so it’s important for us to know what the project must achieve and navigate how we are going to get there with the resources available.

Project teams are constructed around the specific project requirements. Our detailed proposal will set out the resources assigned to the project and their role in making the project a success.

We charge professional fees to cover the reimbursement of our time. This is most commonly presented as a lump sum or retainer fee depending on the scope or clarity of scope, project milestones and duration. Please contact us should you require further details such as hourly rates for services.

Yes.  Sorry but we do not support free pitching. We are always willing to invest time with you to discuss the project and gain an understanding of your requirements. This would precede any design work we undertake on a fee paying basis.

You would pay for the work done up to the point the project is terminated or cancelled. Generally we work with milestone payments so both parties are protected. Upon payment of outstanding money due to us, all project documents are released to you including the design work done.
